Yakima store robbed at gunpoint

YAKIMA, Wash. -- A man wearing a black jacket and ski mask robbed a North First Street store at gunpoint late Thursday afternoon.

The robbery occurred at about 4:50 p.m. at the La Tiendita Del Mexico at 1009 N. First St. when a man entered the store with a handgun and demanded money, according to a news release from the Yakima Police Department.

After being given an undisclosed amount of cash, the robber ran from the store. No injuries were reported. Police said they searched the area, but were unable to locate the robber.
